Happy New Year

Sorry I have not posted for awhile.

I have had a great year and can't wait for the next one.

I have done a bubble room and a dot room.

I wanted post them. They are not the best pics but I am getting more.

"DOG-GONE" cute!!

Do you have a fan of animals? This room was cute, with it's bunkbed, matching quilts and shams. But, the little boy who lives here LOVES dogs. I can't stress how much he loves them. When Kim saw the quilt, instantly she saw what this room COULD look like. Here's how it turned out!

These pictures on the wall were painted on canvases for two reasons. First, kids are PICKY! Don't we know it! Most change their minds before the paint is dry. Second reason, you can move the pictures around in case they want to change their room around. Either can be done, painted on the wall or painted on canvases, but I wanted to show the difference.

Being that there were three colors, we chose three of the dogs on the below
quilt, and incorporated the colors into the paintings.

By letting the little boy pick out which dogs, he really feels a part of his room!

Not all of us are looking for Children's themes, or flowers, etc. Some of us are much more into beautiful faux work. When I say faux, I mean it looks like either leather, or suede, or just about anything you are looking for. You can do Linen, brick, Really, you name it and I can do it. (now, let's not get too out of control with that...) :) Check out some of my Faux Finishes and let me know what you think! Stripes are also a way to really change up a look, and have it be anywhere from "cutesy" in a nursery, to GORGEOUS in a bedroom/bathroom.
